With tapered grooves cut into the ends of a run of pipe, screwed pipe and screwed fittings can easily be assembled without welding or other permanent means of attachment.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>&nbsp; Socket-Weld Connections<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The third method of joining carbon steel pipe is socket welding.
